The coolest gadgets available are typically ones that no one knows about. Even if they are known, these gadgets can do some amazing and interesting things, allowing you to do stuff you didn’t think you could.
These gadgets may not have the power to change the world but they can certainly improve aspects of our lives to a small degree. After all, it’s the little things in life that are the most important.
Here we discuss several of the coolest gadgets available that can provide you with a minute amount of amusement and usefulness.
1. Keychain IPhone Charger
Having an IPhone charger on your key-chain means that you will always have power for your IPhone, as long as you have access to a USB port. With as much as we are on our cell phones these days, surfing through our social media accounts such as Facebook or Twitter, doing research on the go, ordering food and delivery from Uber or Doordash, our batteries do not last as long as we would like. They certainly do not last as long as we need them to.
To prevent your Iphone from going dead, simply plug this small device into your phone then connect to any available computer. This is a convenient little device because computers are everywhere.
2. Fire Stick
This great device is no larger than a portable flash drive and can plug into any TV with an HDMI connection. With the Amazon Fire Stick, you can stream any of the content from your Amazon account. This also includes any videos and photos you have uploaded to your Amazon Cloud.
Because all TVs are being manufactured with HDMI ports now, you should be able to take this device with you wherever you go. If you need to travel and want access to your viewing content, this saves you from having to pack a laptop, saving your laptop from potential damage from baggage handlers.
The only additional thing you need is a Wi-Fi connection to the Internet. This should not be a problem if you are traveling to an area that is modernized. Be warned that you may struggle to find Internet connections in Third World countries where things are not as developed. If this is the case, you won’t be able to use your Fire Stick, unfortunately.
3. Self Defense Cane
If you or someone you know is constrained to using a walking cane to help get around, then consider buying one of these for them (or yourself). For added protection, cane manufacturers have begun incorporating stun devices in their products. There are a couple of different designs that allow the owner to defend themselves from would-be attackers or muggers.
Some of these stun canes have a taser built into the bottom of the cane. This allows the user to tap the end of the cane against a criminal’s body and send a high powered charge of electricity into them, disabling the attacker temporarily. This will give you (or someone you know) the opportunity to escape the danger.
Another design of self defense canes has the entire bottom third of the device act as a stun baton. Tap any portion of this cane to an attacker’s body and they will writhe as thousands of volts of electricity course through their body.
This great self defense weapon / walker is, surprisingly, available Walmart and Amazon. They even have flashlights built into the handle of the cane to make walking in the dark easier.
GoTennas are a play on the word antenna, but they serve the same function. If you travel to an area that does not have service available for your cell phone, you can use one of these handy little devices to stay in contact with others.
These do not allow you to make a phone call per se. They do not have the signal strength to accomplish that. Instead, they allow you to use your cell phone in a way similar to walkie talkies. If you and some friends are hiking in the woods with no cell service, and one of your group gets lost, as long as they are within the range of the goTenna, you will be able to contact them and help them find their way back.
These tiny devices, also similar in size to a flash drive, have a range of 3 miles. This should be plenty of space for you to contact a nearby friend for help. They can also be used to coordinate large groups of people when volunteers join together in a search for a missing person, or when delivering relief supplies to people who are affected by disaster.
All of these are gadgets that are not generally known but serve a viable purpose. They can do some interesting things, and can make life just a little bit easier for users of these devices.
