Today morning, I just checked Webmaster central blog to read official announcement of Google News Publisher Center

It’s a good news for all the publishing network sites, which are updating their website content on daily basis, but still they are not appearing in Google News.

So,for solution of this problem they have launched this platform. This helps when  you made changes to the structure of your site, they might not have discovered them unless you told them.

You can login here for Google news publisher center.

This will help to Improve discovery and classification of your great news content by keeping your site’s information up to date.

You can directly make following changes to your website :

  • Update your news site details, including changing your site name and labeling your publication with any relevant source labels (e.g., “Blog”, “Satire” or “Opinion”)
  • Update your section URLs when you change your site structure (e.g., when you add a new section such as http://example.com/2014commonwealthgames or http://example.com/elections2014)
  • Label your sections with a specific topic (e.g., “Technology” or “Politics”)

You can learn about this Feature here

When you will apply for it then there are some questions asked from them before submission to your changes in Google News publisher Center.
Have a look below :

  • Is your site currently included in Google News?

  • Have you, or anyone from your organization, applied for inclusion in Google News in the past 60 days?

  • For your content to be included in Google News, your publication must conform to our general, technical, and quality guidelines. After reviewing these guidelines closely, please confirm: does your site follow our guidelines? NOTE: If upon review, we find that your site does not abide by our guidelines (and we thus cannot include it in Google News at this time), we cannot re-review your site until a period of 60 days has elapsed.

At the moment the tool is only available to publishers in the U.S. but we plan to introduce it in other countries soon and add more features. Google-News-publisher-techblogcorner
